Lori, great to hear from you. Pls send email to EllaRaglandArt@yahoo.com to go over the family connections. Thx for the card purchases to help our local Alzheimer's cause. Were you in Artsy Cafe or Courtyard?

I was so excited to see the cards you printed. I am a descendant of the Raglands from Phillipsburg and spent the day in the Lebanon area this past weekend. I wish I had known your mother. I bought some cards to give to my grandma, Ella May Ragland's grand-daughter. She was so happy to see the connection.

Wow. A great web page. Her work is so vibrant and full of life. You feel you can reach out and touch the flowers and animals. Beautiful.

As an artist and art instructor I love the works of your mother.
She really put herself and emotion into her works.
I love her hills of home at top. I have a poem that matches the painting:

My Hills, My Home
Ken Williams
2009

There is comfort in the familiar,
Even when just the mind travels far,
The hills clothed in wooded array,
In shadowed night or bright day,
Winding roads and clear cool stream,
And hidden pools where wavelets gleam,
Cozy cabins nestled on the ridge side,
Cousins and neighbors far and wide,
I wandered round the world to see,
What was past our old oak tree,
I saw all of that and war's sparks,
And dreamed always of the Ozarks,
Seasons come and go, bringing change,
The scenes grow, flowing on to rearrange,
And time slides swiftly, taking friends away,
Old or new, here is still the best, I say,
From where ever I roam,
My hills, my home.

Yes - and thank you for the compliment! I hope it also generates some funds for "my" old people. Have a great day and say hello to Leatha for me.
