This English-Spanish
story is mostly true, told from the perspective of looking back from
some 30 years.
Joyce Ragland wrote the story in English; a professor of Spanish
translated. It is published with English on one page, Spanish on the next
page so that new learners of either language can immediately translate.
Illustrations are photographs of Ella Ragland and her then four-year old
granddaughter, the dairy farm and the house in town. Grandma Ella adopted a
new small puppy – a town dog, not a farm dog. She needed help with the name
but what her Granddaughter suggested is not what Gramma Ella heard.
